His Life
November 7, 2010

John was a writer for special projects, a CS pastoral counselor, and emeritus management consultant. He perceived relationships and life styles to be crucial for individuals as well as nations. He found the words "narrow is the road that leads to life and few will find it" to be of major concern for humanity.

He was born in Latvia in 1924 into a family of medical professionals. In 1950 he came to the United States and, while working for nationally known companies, studied history and laws that regulate the well-being of nations. He considered the greatest change in his life to be when he realized the true nature of Christ's teachings in 1957. At that time he began to study Christ's principles in healings and Scriptures' concordant original languages (Scriptures Hebrew and Koine Greek). In 1966 and later this produced several extraordinary healings where the medical profession had given up. In the nineteen eighties he developed his lecture series A More Precise Understanding of the Original Language Words. He was a dedicated student of life issues in our universe. In his research Purvins found that relationships are crucial in one's success in life.

To help coming generations he co-founded Church Counsel, Inc and Concordant Scholarship Academy/Publishing. John is survived by his wife Ina Elizabeth in Appleton, Wisconsin; his daughter Ina A. Purvins in Clinton, MA; and his son James A. Purvins in Spokane, WA.
