My learning about Mitch's passing came as a shock! Although I knew that he had been in ill health, I remained hopeful that he would fully recover. Mitch and I talked a couple of months ago about meeting for lunch. We did agree to do so, however, Mitch said that he had a couple of more treatments to complete first. I feel a great sense of loss. One of the many reasons why is that Mitch and I were members of the Bruce Endo & Brian Sisk Chapter of the L.A. Dodgers Fan Club. We would always meet at least once a year at Dodger Stadium. I have lost a wonderful friend and Faye has lost a devoted partner. A good and caring man has been called to be with the Lord. May his memory make us all smile---often.

Few people have such a warm, genuine spirit as Mitch. He was always ready and willing to help, and he always made you confident that he would resolve whatever your request was. My prayers go up for the Mitchem family, and I'll say a special prayer for Faye. May God hold you all close in His loving arms, and give you peace and strength during this difficult time. Mitch made a positive, memorable impression on everyone. God rest his soul.

Mitch, it has been a while since I last saw you. However, I just want to tell you and family that you were one of the nicest employees that ever worked at the IRS. Whenever I needed your help to rearrange or change some furniture in any of my offices over the years, you were always there with a big smile and a great attitude. Thank you Thank you, Mitch.
