John Royal Proctor Jr. passed away at his home in Lindale, Texas on March 4th, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda and John Royal Proctor, his daughter Prissie Michele Proctor, and his stepson Steven Clay Sharp.  John is survived by his wife Barbara Minton Proctor.  He is lovingly remembered by his stepchildren Shannon and son-in-law Ray Carter and John and daughter-in-law Lauren Moraga.  He was grandfather "PJ" to Nick Carter and wife DeAnne, Kevin Carter, and wife Jamie, Noah Carter, Hannah Carter, Christian Moraga, Meg Moraga.  Great-grandchildren Katie Carter and Sophia Carter.  He is also survived by his sisters Rhonda Webb, Terressa Isbell, and brothers Dennis Lingle, and Terry Lingle.

We are grateful to John Royal Proctor Jr. for his service in the Army, during the Vietnam Conflict.  

John will be remembered as a loving husband to Barbara, who loved his animals fiercely, a man could fix anything, and was unequivocally himself.  
  
He will be interred at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery 2000 Mountian Creek Parkway, Dallas Texas 75236 on April 29th, 2021 at 11:30 am.
