My dad was the youngest one of 11 children born in Bradford Manchester he was born 3 months after his dad died so his mum had to work very hard to keep the family together. One Christmas she had no money to buy her children presents and she went to the town hall were they were giving toys away for poor families. But they ran out of toys when it was her turn, she went home heartbroken, then later thst night there was a knock on the door and the town hall workers had got together and brought her toys for the children.
