John grew up in San Diego California, but visited South Carolina several times a year with his Grandparents to see family. He eventually moved to SC and lived there for many years, then went back to california until he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma ( brain cancer).  He returned to SC and lived with his sister Cyndi for the last 7 months of his life and blessed everyone he came in contact with. He kept a positive attitude at all times and put others before himself. 

John loved his family first and loved spending time just hanging out. He loved animals and cared about what was happending all around him. Even while we were taking care of him, he made us feel that his main concern was for our health and well-being.  

John was a great listener!  He listened, then spoke carefully with encouraging words that demonstrated he was compassionate about my problems/issues.  I always felt better after we talked!

He was careful about every word he spoke and made it count.
