Dearest Dad.... it's difficult to believe it's now been over 6 years since you've left us. I can't say it's ever any easier. It's a different place in this world without you. I'm a lot tougher than I used to be, but I have to admit, when the world used to give me a difficult time, I always felt your guiding hand on my shoulder. I seek that strength now.... more than ever.

Hi Jack, I want to let you know that your son Lee is a lot like you, all your brothers spent a week with him at Borden Lake. It was like you being there with us. That time is gone and maybe will never happen again or maybe it will . Memories fade but are always remembered when you least expect them. You are missed by us all, I will never forget you and the times we went fishing together. Love Louise and David

To remember our brother Jack, his son Lee and 5 of his brothers are going to Borden Lake. We will fish, and play cards and talk about the big ones we caught and the bigger ones that got away. He will be there with us.  I used to have saying that I came from a family of ten children , six brothers and three sisters and that we were all alive and kicking. Now there are only six brothers now. One day in time our whole family will be reunited forever, but until then we will remember Jack the way he was in our memories of him. We miss you Jack.

Time passes on , and You are missed Jack ... Four years have passed , and it seems like only yesterday , that we lost You !
I miss our phone conversations we use to have on a regular basis , and all the updates you gave me on your favorite hobby , Flea Market And Swamp Meets in and around Kentucky ! Memories never fade of the times that you and I went on our fishing adventures in all parts of the mid and upper lower Michigan rivers , streams , creeks , and ponds , that You knew so well , and shared with me ! We had great times , and the memories well up inside of me , of all that having an older brother to learn from , not only from a sport , but from your moral character ..
Thank You , for the years that you gave to me as a brother , a friend , and an outdoor companion ! That was truly the best gift you ever gave me !  Your disposition truly reminded me of the father character ,The Minister Rev. Maclean , from the movie " A River Runs Through It ' , and the fathers demeanor , in his lifes beliefs , and in raising his two sons ! You were a blessing to have as a family member , and loved by All your Sisters and Brothers , and especially Mom And Dad !
Your Never Forgotten , and Our Family is forever growing larger , in Heaven !

Hello Lee ,
I to miss Jack and all the memories he's given me over the years. He's given me guidance, and friendship, and an education in fly fishing . He and I fished all over Michigan , so many rivers ,lakes and streams ! We fished creeks that were barely two feet across in various places . We also fished "Sinking Creek " in Tennessee.

Hi Lee and Family:
Just wanted you to know we miss Jack too, and we remembered his anniversary. Aunt Lorraine had a memorial mass for Jack this morning which she was attending and we have a mass scheduled for him at our church. I know you all miss him terribly. It's hard to believe it's a year already. Our love and prayers to you all and Judy and Paula.

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's
great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless
raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.

  I am haunted by waters.

Memories of My Brother Jack

February 21, 2011

My fondest memories of my bother Jack was the Fishing trip with all seven brother to Brevort Lake  in 1986 !  I recall the first pike I ever caught was with my bother Jack at Brevort Lake ( in fact it was the biggest pike during the trip ) . Beside the fishing trip with all my brothers , I remember all the fishing trips I took with my brother after that . It was the one on one talk while in the boat fishing with my brother that  I cherished the stories of my father Walter ( Fred ) and other fishing stories from my brother Jack that I listen to with every word he said with Interest  . I also cherished going to flea markets with Jack we both had interest in old fishing reels and I received several he sent to me and fishing reel book's I will always keep him in my memories within my heart .  Signed his loving brother Chuck or as my brother's called me " Mr Pike "

August 1987 Fishing Trip

February 13, 2011

This was a during a fishing trip in August of 1987. My Dad & I were going to Fletcher Floodwaters and stopped in Oscoda for the night. We went out to eat and went to play a game of miniature golf. Of course you can see he was already thinking about making that first cast.

I MET JACK 42 YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS DATING HIS SISTER JOAN, I KNEW THE FIRST TIME I MET HIM THAT HE WAS A GREAT PERSON. WE TALKED ABOUT FISHING AND  CARS . HE HAD A CHRYSLER 300, WHICH HE DROVE UNTIL IT DIED, HE THEN HAD THE CAR BURIED IN THE GROUND SO THAT IT WOULD REMAIN WHOLE AND NOT PARTED OUT. JACK AND FAMILY WOULD VISIT DETROIT AND FAMILY, MAYBE EVERY TWO YEARS OR THERE ABOUT, WE WOULD ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO THEIR VISITS. WE WILL MISS JACK, BUT KNOWING HIM, I KNOW HE IS WITH GOD AND IN A BETTER PLACE.    FRANK MIRUZZI     BROTHER -in-LAW
