When I was in k or 1st grade My shoe string broke so my daddy took 1 string and made 2 He told my brother and sister too hold the bus So I could ride the bus I took off running. Tripped over my own 2 feet Slide under the bus and came out on the other side legs bloody but I went on to school Later that day my daddy walked all the way too McFadden school from academy st too check on me They don't make DADDYS like that anymore

My daddy was the greatest man I ever knew next to Jesus no man can take his spot in my heart He was hard working. A loving soul He got hurt on a job when I started kindergarten I would always see his face every morning before I got on the (Monkey wagon) as he called it school bus He helped my mom raise all 10 of their children. 6 boys 4girls You hardly ever heard him raise his voice When I had my 1st daughter I was gonna whip her for something I can't remember what it was now But as soon as I said Stephanie in that voi ce he was ready to whip me He never called her Stephanie he always called her smyphony I don't know where he got the name but up to the weeks before he passed we would come home too see him I would go to their bedroom Stephanie would walk by He would say there's ole smyphony Funny how memories never fade
