Happy birthday babe

November 10, 2014

Once again, it's your birthday... here I am still thinking about you and your Damn coconut cream pie lol. I've been reminiscing about all the birthdays we shared but the last one really has been on my mind. It's not my birthday you said it's dump day. John, you always hated your birthday, and for that matter, every holiday. I miss you so much. I still long for your loving arms to be around me, holding me tight. Happy birthday babe... still remembering always will.

1birthday I remember in particular

November 10, 2013

It was a beautiful day 11/10/2004. I had gotten my DL suspended due to failure to pay child support. We went to MC"s to get your pie and then over to Kmart, so I could go shopping for your gift. when I returned John had used his clip on sunglasses as a spoon & he had already eaten a good portion of his b/day pie!! He really made me laugh sometimes. He was ingenious, and was like a big kid caught eating his pie! As he drove home, I had a few bites using his clip ons too! In loving memory on your special day....

Redwood Park, Arcata, Ca

April 10, 2013

John lived in Arcata most of the 28 years or so that he lived here in Humboldt. John and I met via an online dating service. We me one impromptue night @ Denny's and instantly we connected. On our 1st real date, he took me to Arcata. He talked about how much he enjoyed spending time there. He had always been an animal lover, so when he had the chance, he would take friends dogs out to the park for exercise. I loved to watch his beautiful blue eyes light up, when he spoke of the many different occasions of being at that park with the dogOne the day I first visited the park with him, we were sitting on a fallen Redwood log. He was talking to me about his life, and how difficult life had been over the last few years. It was extremely shaded because of the tree tops. Yet, at one point while he was speaking to me, it was as if the tree tops parted, and a beam of sunlight shone down upon him, illuminating his silver hair, it almost looked like spun silk. His blue eyes were lit up, as he was telling me his story. I distinctly remember us talking how this "place" was our Camelot, and I was his Guinevere  and he was my Lancelot.  We laughed, held hands and kissed beneath those towering Redwoods. I knew he was the One for me. Oh, how I miss you, my Lovee
