Mr. Johnny Clyde Higgins was born March 28th, 1941 in Cottage Grove, Alabama to the parentage of the late Fred and Katie Bell Higgins.   As a youth  he and  his siblings dutifully attended the  Peace and  Goodwill  Baptist  Church, Cottage Grove, AL. - a ritual that was the cornerstone of the Higgins family. Early in life, Johnny Clyde was baptized and committed his life to Christ.

Johnny Clyde  attended the Coosa  County Training Elementary School,  and  received  his  formal  education at Coosa County Training High School, Cottage Grove, Alabama. After graduation he enlisted  in the United  States Army and served in Vietnam.   He received his discharge and  relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.   He was employed  at Briggs and Stratton, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin  until his health failed him.

Mr. Higgins departed  this life on January  12, 2013 to be with his parents Fred and Katie Bell Higgins; step-mother, Francis Higgins; his brothers,  James Morris,  Charles  Lesley, and Walter Earl Higgins, who preceded him in death.   Most importantly Johnny Clyde was a man who loved his family who will miss his dearly.  He leaves to mourn  a devoted daughter Giovanni Gordon, a grandson McArthur Miller;  adoring sisters, Freddie Jackson, Youngstown, OH, Thelma Pritchett, Bronx, NY; loving brother  Alfred (Mary) Higgins , Rockford, Al,  a special friend  Leo Allen, Milwaukee, WI, and a host of nieces, nephews, other  relatives and friends.
