Well bro year end near here so cant wait see end of this year,missing you so much nothing seems right without you bro,we should be getting ready to bring in the new year,but we are not even intrested,you should be here with us,always thought you would always be here,still struggling and i know busters missing his best mate n big bro so much,lily finding it hard as well,johnny we aw miss you so much pkease look down on lily n buster,send them wee msg let them know your watching over them,well i oromised id make sure me n buster would make time for us in the new year and we will,always in my thoughts bro,carry your memories in my heart and my dreams love miss you so much bro ❤

Johnny I have known you all my life from I was a kid you were always known as “Ringo”then in later years the group Society was formed with my brother Frankie and Raymond and Joe Hull and played in various(and dodgy) locations in Belfast before getting residency in Milanos in Bangor. As Frankie lived in Groomsport it was a case all back to Frankie’s after a gig and boy we had some fun,but some of the best bits were when we used to sit and talk about music and you trying to play “My Sweet Lord” on guitar. You were always a bit of a hero to me a fantastic musician, funny ,smart and such a caring man.Rest in Peace my friend.

Where do I start, uncle Johnny you were the absolute life and soul, from days out to laverys to play pool to going to watch you play on weekends to sitting listening to you jam on the guitar and singing along you made me laugh in my darkest times my kids willow lily and Nicky got to spend some time with you and adored you well because you were their fun uncle who just loved them as we love you, thank you uncle johnny for always being you right to the very end ❤❤❤

Awe Johnny , I only met you once but what a fantastic day that was never giggled so much . My brother always spoke of you and the time he came over to Belfast to see Kirsty’s family and you made him feel so welcome . As for me that day in Glasgow I’ll keep that memory forever . When you asked me my name lol . You will be sorely missed a true gentleman and what a character who made everyone smile .

Had a great love for all of his friend's he was one of the best down to earth people i have ever met. He played drums with me in chapter5 for a lot of great years. All the guys jimmy trevor stevie myself alan love him one of the best drummers i had the pleasure to play with cheers mate RIP

Not many people impact my life the way Johnny did. He had a wee special place in my heart because of the way he embraced me for who I was from the very 1st time I met him and everytime thereafter ' no exceptions! And thats special. He was genuine and consistent. He was loyal , encouraging and supportive - all the time!!. When Johnny complimented you you knew it was genuine which made all his compliments and encouragement and real honour to recieve.

He lit up a room and never ceased to lift your spirit.  He was a positive inspiring man to the end. He was a true fighter.

I loved his own unique way of doing what he did - his swag was on point always. I loved that!! His musicianship was inspiring. I loved the way he adored being a drummer and that joy came out everytime he played.

It was a real honour to see Johnny play the cajon when my choir came to sing for him. His face lit with positivity and joy. This is how I will always remember Johnny. What a truly fab man. he'll always have a wee place in my heart.

Grateful to have known him. Thanks for everything you contributed to this life Johnny. You're true legend!! Love you ❤

You were honestly the kindest, funniest man I’ve ever known and have done so much for me over the years. I have so many amazing memories with you that I will cherish forever! Everytime you saw me you always had a smile on your face and said “awk my wee granddaughter”. I hope you know how much it meant to me, you always made me smile and gave me hugs to make me feel better. It always worked, I mean how could it not with your charming jokey self! I just remember the proud look on your face when I was going to my formal and you had tears of joy. You even gave me one of your hats with the feather on it even though it meant so much to you, you gave it to me because you knew how much I loved it. You always took care of everyone else before yourself and that was your heart of gold! You were the life of every party and always had a joke and smile on your face no matter what was going on. I will never forget your cheeky smile, now go have a pint, joke and watch over us! Sleep in peace Gramps we love you so much ❤️

Friend, musician, drummer, wit and one of Belfast’s great characters, Johnny ‘skip’ Crawford, will be missed in the music scene and in life. I’ll miss his catchphrase to me. “Right our kid. Here to me Stevie, did you the hear the one about . . . “ Or “Here Stevie will you mic up this cajon that stupid so and so hasn’t got a clue. Thanks our kid”. Or his classic one, “Here, are you going past the bar?” “Aye, I am.” “Great. Pint of Carlsburg. Thanks Stevie”. First time I met Johnny was also the first time I met Kaz. Both of them climbed out of a big van Kaz was driving. Fair to say both made a lifelong impression with me. Goodnight and goodbye Johnny and wherever you are beat those cajons, drums and cymbals so loud that the whole universe can hear. Love.

My heart is in pieces that you’re gone. I loved you for your giving heart, your infectious giggle, silly jokes & your musical talent. I loved you for the dreams you had right up until you got sick. I will always make sure people remember your name. To me you were a father, friend and drummer.
