Well Twirl Girl by now you truly have settled and became extremely comfortable with your heavenly home. And, that's wonderful!! I know you welcomed your dad (Peanut), your uncle (Justice), and your sister (Crystal) with open legs and paws to God's kingdom - doggie heaven! We all continue to miss you everyday! Joi was such a ray of light. Her name was the one and only spirit about her: full of joy. She was the weather woman, and the playmate. She was the soft and kind one, with such a youthful, energetic spirit. In the backyard, she loved to play with the squirrels, and always wanted to be the first one outside to play. Now, she will always be the first one outside. We miss and love you!!!!

I remember the day as clear as ever! It was about to rain, and I didn't hear any thunder whatsoever, nor did I see any lightning. Then, Joi, the Weather Woman, started to bark, and we all closed our mouths to hear. Then, we heard it, the thunder that was so loud, it could have come forth from the front yard. And what followed the thunder? A sudden, loud sound of thick, cold, relentless rain coming in sheets, assailing the roof non-stop. Then, the television went out. We all sat in silence, all listening to the storm and Joi, waiting for it to end. All I could think was that if it wasn't for Joi, we wouldn't have known, nor have been prepared, for the assailing rain outside.
