ForeverMissed
This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Jon Roberts aka Ant Banks, 37 years old, born on September 7, 1983, and passed away on January 14, 2021. We will remember him forever.
The years we've shared have been full of joy.
The memories we've made will go on and on. I haven't stopped crying since you went away, and I've asked God time and time why you couldn't stay. You lit up my life, my hopes, and my dreams. You've opened my eyes to see what it all means. So now that you're gone, how can I forget that you were the greatest out of all I have met. ALWAYS & FOREVER.....

Missing you is like a day without light
or a rose without petals.

Every time I think of you
My days grow shorter,
My heart gets weaker,
and my love grows stronger.

I had a dream that everything was perfect,
But then I realized nothing is the same.

Missing you is like a day without light
or a rose without petals.

No one knew the torment,
that you were going through;
We only kept on seeing
What we really wanted to.

We saw the outward smile,
but not your inner pain;
We never really dreamt,
That you would never smile again.

Forgive us if we failed to see,
What we could do to aid;
Or if we failed to comprehend,
How much you were afraid.

We pray your mental anguish,
Will now forever cease;
And that your deep anxieties,
Will be replaced by peace.

We know your pain invaded,
Every single thought you had;
It made you cry internally,
And deeply, deeply sad.

But we in turn remember,
The good times, not the bad;
We remember when you smiled at us,
And not when you were sad.

So when we think about your life,
We won’t dwell upon its close;
We’ll remember all the good times,
And forget about life’s blows.

We’ll remember all the happiness,
The joy and not the tears;
The assurance and the confidence,
And not irrational fears.

Our lives have all been better,
Because you have been there;
So now we leave your memory,
In God’s all-loving care

one seemed to notice
What you were going through;
We all just kept on seeing
The man we wanted to.

If we did not see
The pain that you were in
Or ask, or offer help
Forgive us for that sin.

Now we know your worries
Crease your brow no more
And your spirit rests in peace
Upon that distant shore.

And we in turn remember
The good times, not the bad:
We remember when you laughed with us,
Not when you were sad.

And laugh – we laughed often
For good times there were plenty
With jokes and songs and beer and wine
And a glass that was never empty

Like all the best friendships
Most valued when you win them,
Our lives have been the richer
Because you have been in them

remember your smile,
How you shined so bright.
I didn't see the pain inside,
You hid with all your might.

I know the pain became too much to bear,
I know you tried to see.
But the darkness hid you in a shadow,
As immovable as a tree.

On the day you left,
A piece of my heart went too.
But I bask in each new dawn.
Because now I live for me and you

If you could have seen the devastation,
shattered hearts you'd leave behind,
would you still have left this world that day?
Would it have made you change your mind?

If you'd known we'd cry so violently
and struggle just to breathe,
would that have made a difference?
Would you still have chosen to leave?

You left without a warning;
you left without saying "goodbye."
You left us with only questions.
The most important one is "why?"

Why did you believe
you had to face this world alone?
Why did you suffer silently?
We would have helped if we had known.

How long had you been hurting
before deciding you were done?
I'm glad your pain has ended,
but our pain has just begun.

So when you see us start to fall apart,
when our pain is too much to bear,
please take our hands and guide us;
remind us that you're there.

Help us hold on to the part of you;
you left us with your song.
Keep playing it in heaven.
We'll write the words and sing

The moment you took your life,
I felt mine ended too.
If I could only turn back time,
there's so much I would undo.

I didn't see the warning signs.
You held them deep inside.
Struggles you were going through
you did so well to hide.

I'm left with guilt and sorrow
and confusion as to why.
You didn't tell me of your pain
and felt you had to die.

Every soul is precious
in the eyes of God above.
He will heal your troubled heart
with His never-ending love.

I'll put my faith in Him,
as I pray my heart will mend
and keep you in my memory
'till I'm with you once again
