Jonathan Lamar Williams Sr. affectionately known as Red passed away on February 11, 2024 in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. Jonathan was a cherished member of the North Birmingham community before he moved to McCalla, Alabama. He was the founder and CEO of Williams City Marketplace LLC, an online retail store and was planning to start a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping residents of the public housing and homeless communities in Birmingham. His mission in life was to serve God and to bring souls to the kingdom.
Jonathan is predeceased by his mother Dr. Shirley Williams Scott. He is survived by his wife Michelle Williams and his children Jonathan Williams Jr, Jason Williams, Robert Williams, Joshua Williams, Grace Diana-Nicole Williams, and Steven Williams. He is also survived by his siblings Portia Williams, Megan Williams, Nolfris Williams (Charisma), and Jasmine Williams-Scott Cox (Bruce), his two rescue cats Simba and Scar, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. No services will be held.
