Jorden Coleman Jr. Life and Legacy

Jorden Coleman Jr, affectionately known as Uncle Jorden, was born January 14, 1947, to Jorden and Lois Coleman in Birmingham, AL. Jorden accepted Christ at an early age. Jorden and Faye joined Sardis Missionary Baptist Church, and he remained a faithful worker as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. In 2012, he and Faye joined the Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church until his illness. Jorden graduated from A.H. Parker High School in 1965, and went on to become self employed as a Brick Mason.

Jorden enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids, family and friends, watching football, bowling, taking pictures and playing cards. Jorden was truly a family man.

Jorden was preceded in death by his father Jorden (JC) Coleman, his mother Lois (Mama Lois) Coleman ,brother Jason Coleman; paternal grandparents, Jorden and Ethel Coleman and maternal grandparents Reverend Rufus Charles and Carnelia Guice.

Jorden leaves to honor his life: his loving wife of 53 years, Cleatrice “Faye” Scarborough Coleman, son Jorden Emmanuel Coleman (Cheryl), daughter, Michelle Coleman Turner (Eric), and Timothy James Coleman all of Birmingham, AL; eight grandkids, Mia Coleman, Jorden Coleman, Brayden Coleman, Ashton Coleman, Gwen Tarver, Eric Turner Jr, Timothy J. Coleman, Breya Coleman; One great-grandson De’Auri Westbrook; Two sisters Lois Byrd, Columbus, GA, and Pearl (Raymond) Shinault , Cove Walls, MS., one brother Rufus (Cheryl) Coleman, Birmingham, AL; Two sister-in-laws, Geraldine Scarborough Moss, and Helen Scarborough Edwards, both of Birmingham, AL.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; Two devoted and good friends, Paul Dickson and Watt Williams, both of Birmingham, AL.
