Josalyn Rose Larson (née Renard), 78 years old and longtime resident of Indian Mills, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.  Born in Camden, NJ, on January 21, 1943, to Joseph and Ruth Renard, Josalyn (Lynne) grew up in Brooklawn, NJ.  Beloved wife of 45 years and loving mother, she is survived by her husband, Thomas Larson, and her children Candace Nelson (Mike), William Larson (Nancy), Timothy Larson, Jennifer Seewagon (Ken), Bradley Larson (Michelle), Cheryl Easterling (Sam), and Gregory Larson.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren (Rebecca Nelson; Nicole Hilbert; Emily Snyder; Renee Larson; David and James Scholtz; Ayden and Roen Larson; Ryan, Ava, and Emma Easterling) and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy West (née Renard).  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Gloucester City High School in 1961 Lynne enjoyed a 16-year career with Campbell Soup before deciding to stay home to raise her family. She enjoyed traveling, first as a young woman through Europe, then camping throughout the US with her growing family, and then back to international travel and cruises after retirement.  She was well-read and valued education.  She decided to pursue a college degree once her children were all in school and attended a college class with her son!  After years of balancing a family and academics, Lynne was a proud graduate of Glassboro State College.  Once back in the workforce, she was employed for years, making lasting friendships at The Medford Care Center in Medford, NJ.  She spent free time creating beautiful keepsakes through crafting, needlepoint, and crocheting.   Lynne also shared her musical talents at Lord of Life Lutheran Church as part of both the choir and the bell choir. Most of all, Lynne treasured spending time with her friends and family.  She always looked forward to the next time she could visit with her sister, cousins, children, and grandchildren.

Lynne and I were classmates and lifelong friends. We grew up together in Brooklawn, New Jersey and were in the same class in elementary school, high school, and Sunday school. When I moved to the Midwest in 1965, Lynne and I continued keeping in touch via handwritten letters. She had the most beautiful handwriting and would keep me informed about her jobs, vacations, family, and the old home town. Lynne also made the trip to Chicago to attend my wedding in 1966. Lynne was always doing crafts while I was mostly reading books. I still have a cross-stitched Christmas card she made for me one year. I will miss Lynne, but I'm so glad I had her for a friend for so many years. My condolences to Tom and the family. Darlene Haggas Arendt

I am privileged to have known Lynne for 12 years, ten as her son-in-law. She was the first to welcome me and Ryan into the Larson family. There will always be a part of her (and not just her name) that will live on in my wife Cheryl, and my daughters. Her love of others is the legacy that will live on for generations. I can rejoice knowing she has a place in a bigger choir. Love you, Lynne. Thank you for loving me.
