Short but Impactful
Dr Meyinsse. Can't believe it that he is gone home to be with His creator. It seemed I have known him for ages but no. Only for a very short time. My first face to face meeting with Joseph was less tha three years ago and that meeting made an impact in my life . We talked as if we had known each other for a long while. he played me my home country music knowing I just came from Nigeria. We talked about music about life in Ghana and Nigeria and Africa. We talked about the beauty of Africa and how it could be made more beautiful.
And then of course this man made life easy for my wife and I. My wife happens to be his doctoral student. He provided help when it was needed. Provided funding out of his grants for my wife's research. Dr Meyinsse wanted her to complete the program on record time and he encourged and taught her. As her Professor, Dr Meyinsse did not mind going out of his way to help drive my wife when her car broke down on the highway. Just a phone call and he was there to help. Helper of the helpless, you can call him.
Here was a man who never failed to help people in their hour of need, yet when it was his turn there was none to help. He helped unconditionally. What a life? what a man! A man who was happiest at the success of his students. That is godly love.
What shall we say?
God, the owner of Dr Meyinsse, called him home out of this world of so many contradictions. The Rewarder of all those who diligently seek Him, clalled Joseph home . The One who gave us His Son to die on the cross that we all might have eternal life of bliss with HIM, when our work here is done, has called Joseph home to rest from all his earthly struggles and this world of sin. Jesus Christ, Meyinsse's Messiah , and the Messiah that we all are in need of, has called him home. From his vintage position Joseph would probably be saying like Paul, the Apostle, "I have fought the good fight and finished my course" Yes indeed, he has run a good race and finished strong.
