Daddy, Seven years have passed since you left this world, but not a day goes by that I don't think of you, dear father. Your presence may no longer be physical, but your spirit and love continue to guide me every step of the way. Your gentle wisdom, unwavering support, and unconditional love have shaped me into the person I am today.

You were the rock of our family, always there to lend a helping hand and offer words of encouragement. Your laughter filled the room with joy, and your kindness touched the hearts of everyone you met. The memories we shared are forever etched in my mind, and they bring both tears and smiles to my face.

Through your struggles and triumphs, you taught me the importance of resilience and perseverance. Your life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and living with integrity. Your legacy lives on through the lessons you imparted and the values you instilled in us.

Though the pain of your absence will never completely fade, I find solace in knowing that you are watching over us from above. Your spirit continues to inspire me to be the best version of myself and to cherish every moment with loved ones. The void you left can never be filled, but the love you left us with will forever be in our hearts.

On this 7th anniversary, I light a candle in your honor, symbolizing the light you brought into our lives. I remember your laughter, your warmth, and the immense love you showered upon us. Though we cannot share physical moments together, I carry your spirit wherever I go.

Thank you, Daddy, for everything you were and continue to be. Until we meet again, rest in eternal peace.

Seven years have gone by daddy since you left this world, but your presence lingers in our hearts as if you were here only yesterday. As today marks another 365 days that we have lived without you, i just want to tell you that we would continuevto bonor and cherish the moments we spent together. Though tears may fill our eyes, we also carry a deep sense of gratitude for the love and lessons you shared during your time with us.

You were more than just a father; you were a guiding light, a pillar of strength, and a friend. Your continuous support and unconditional love embraced us.Your warm smile could brighten the darkest of days, and your laughter resonated with a joy that was contagious. You had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and cherished.

As a provider, you worked tirelessly to give us the best opportunities in life. Sacrifices were made, and challenges were overcome, all driven by your unwavering determination to see us succeed. You taught us the value of hard work, integrity, and perseverance. Eventhough we are still working hard to get to the place where you wanted us to be. Your work ethic remains an inspiration, reminding us to give our all in everything we do.

But beyond your accomplishments, it was your character that truly set you apart. You possessed a gentle and compassionate spirit that touched the lives of all who knew you. You offered a comforting presence during our darkest hours, lending a listening ear and wise words to ease our burdens. Your wisdom and guidance continue to shape us, even in your physical absence.

From family gatherings filled with laughter and love to simple moments spent in your company, every memory holds a precious place within us. Your stories, your jokes, and your wisdom continue to echo through our lives, reminding us of the incredible man you were.

Though you may no longer be by our side, your legacy lives on. It resides in the values you instilled within us and the love you imparted. We carry your spirit with us as we navigate life's challenges, drawing strength from the lessons you taught us. Your memory fuels our determination to live with purpose, kindness, and compassion.

Today, as we remember and honor you, we find solace in knowing that you are at peace. EVEN THOUGH PHYSICALLY ABSENT, YOU ARE NEVER FORGOTTEN
It’s been 6 years that we look around and can’t see that smile, can’t hear that voice, can see that active organization and coordination of events. It’s been 6 years of wishing you were here to see how things have changed in a very short period of time. It’s been 6 years we wished we could spend some time with you and learn more from your wisdom. But the reality is that you truly transitioned 6 years ago to be with your creator- our Lord Jesus Christ!
Thank God for the impact you created while on earth and the legacy you left. You will forever be remembered. Happy 6th Anniversary in the celestial world with the Holy Angels. Continue to intercede for us; we need strength, good health, amongst others to sustain this earthly pilgrimage.
May you enjoy the peace of the Lord and the feast of the Heavenly Mariapolis.
We love you, Daddy!

Good morning daddy. I still remember feeding you one of your last solid meals. I still remember how you told me that you wanted to drink all the egusi soup from the plate. Daddy little did I know that it was going to be the last time you ate something like that.
I still remember when I came with your grand children and you were sitting on a chair next to the door. I still remember what you said. It's still really painful today because as humans, we wanted you to share in our joys that we have experienced. Things are really getting better. The family is really expanding. It's really been tough on mommy but I know that it is because of you that she still has the strength to carry on.
I don't know why I have alot going on in my mind today. I just want to write every thought out.
Continue to rest in the Lord and keep watching over us as we continue to make you proud. I love you daddy.

How time flies, infact words can never express the sad feelings and the loss your absence caused in my life.
An inlaw I put hopes forgotten God says man is a vain hope.
I lost everything the same day you left us.
Relationship vanished ,I thought to myself, things wouldn't have been like this only if you were alive.
I become nobody in the face of the earth, accompanied you as a death person, while still alive.
May Jesus Christ preserve you till the dead in Christ shall rise first.
I just keep going.

Daddy, it's been a year today that I can't even talk to you. It is really still fresh in my mind. I can't believe that I am even writing this. I can't believe that you never got the chance to come to our house. Daddy you did not even have a walk or drive with your son-in-law. Daddy I wanted you to come so we could go pick your grand children from school.
    Daddy, I remember when we had to name our second child and you told us to name her after your wife. Daddy you were so selfless.

Daddy,

It's been 17 days that the shocking waves of your eternal transition reached us. I keep pondering if this has been a dream...

A humble man you were. A loyal husband and father you stood the test of time. A Christian family you built. A selfless servant you served the community and the nation of Cameroon.

Throughout the struggle to regain your health, you remain faithful to Christ, believing in God who surpasses all creatures and power. You looked up to Jesus Forsaken on the cross with courage and hope until the very last minute.

Thanks to your exceptional qualities of good parenting, you blessed me with the most beautiful, intelligent, humble, God fearing, understanding, loving and caring lady as a life partner.

Your demise has generated a big space that nobody can fill. You left us so soon, but you left us with a legacy. My 10 years of closeness to you groomed me with those aspects of yours- a man of substance.

Your little grand daughter, Princess Delyanne shall miss that wonderful grand dad. We pray God pardon any of your ills and grant you eternal peace until we meet again.

You'll remain fresh in our memories-----Adieu Daddy

SOLEMN HOUR OF PRAYER FOR Mr. JOSEPH ATABONG

JULY 9TH, 2016

DICKINSON, TEXAS

                                 "I am the resurrection and the   life.

                                  Those   who believe in me, even though

                                  they die, will live, and everyone who

                                  Lives   and believes in me will never die."

                                                                                                    John   11:25-26

Death is not the ultimate victor for the Christian.  The resurrection of Jesus Christ means that death is swallowed up in victory 1 Corinthians 15:55.  This is the root cause and source of our joyful hope.  We pray in the risen Lord for repose for the souls of those who have gone before us.  Together one day we shall be with the Lord in heaven where there will be no more death, and no more mourning or sadness.
Revelation 21:4

OPENING SONG

THERE’S A STRANGER AT THE DOOR

There’s a stranger at the door, Let Him in;

He has been there oft before, Let Him in;

Let Him in, er He is gone, Let Him in, the Holy One,

Jesus Christ the Father’s Son, Let Him in.

Open now to Him you heart, Let Him in;

If you wait He will depart, Let Him in;

Let Him in, He is your Friend,

He your soul will sure defend,

He will keep you to the end, Let Him in.

Hear you now His Living Voice? Let Him in;

Now, Oh now make Him your choice, Let Him in;

He is standing at your door,

Joy to you He will restore,

And His name you will adore, Let Him in

Now admit the Heavenly Guest, Let Him in;

He will make for you a feast, Let Him in;

He will speak your sins forgiv’n,

And when earth ties all are riv’n,

He will take you home to heav’n, Let Him in.

V.  In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

A. Amen.

R.  Almighty Father, eternal God, hear our prayers for your son Joseph Atabong whom you have called from this life to yourself. Grant him light, happiness, and peace. Let him pass in safety through the gates of death, and live forever with all your saints in the light you promised to Abraham and to all his descendants in faith. Guard him from all harms and on that great day of resurrection and reward; raise him up with all your saints. Pardon his sins and give him eternal life in your kingdom. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

God of mercy and compassion

1.         God of mercy and compassion

Look with pity upon me

Father, let me call thee Father

‘Tis thy child returns to thee.

Jesus, Lord I ask for mercy

Let me not implore in vain

All my sins I now detest them

Never will I sin again

2.         By my sins I have deserved

Death and endless misery

Hell with all its pains and torments

And for all eternity

Jesus, Lord, etc

3.         By my sins I have abandon’d

Right and claim to heaven above

Where the saints rejoice for ever

In a boundless sea of love.

Jesus, Lord, etc

4.         See our Saviour, bleeding, dying

On the cross of Calvary

To that cross my sins have nail’d him

Yet he bleeds and dies for me

Jesus, Lord, etc

Let us contemplate in this mystery how our Lord, Jesus Christ, being seated on the right hand of the Father, sent, as he had promised, the Holy Ghost upon his apostles, who on their return to Jerusalem, after the ascension, had persevered in prayer, with the Blessed Virgin Mary, awaiting the fulfillment of his promise.

Holy Queen: Hail, holy queen, Mother of mercy; hail, our life, our sweetness, and our hope; to thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus; O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Queen of the most holy rosary, pray for us.

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ

Let us pray

O God, whose only-begotten Son, by his life, death and resurrection has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life; grant, we beseech you, that meditating upon these mysteries in the most holy rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may both imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord Amen.

CLOSSING HYMN

PEACE, PERFECT PEACE

Peace, perfect peace, in this dark world of sin?
The blood of Jesus whispers peace within.

Peace, perfect peace, by thronging duties pressed?
To do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

Peace, perfect peace, with sorrow surging round?
In Jesus's presence nought but calm is found.

Peace, perfect peace, with loved ones far away?
In Jesus's keeping we are safe, and they.

Peace, perfect peace, our future all unknown?
Jesus we know, and He is on the throne.

Peace, perfect peace, death shadowing us and ours?
Jesus has vanquished death and all its powers
It is enough: earth's struggles soon shall cease,
and Jesus call us to heaven's perfect peace.

I Surrender All

1. All to Jesus I surrender;
all to him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust him,
in his presence daily live.

Refrain:
I surrender all, I surrender all,
all to thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

2. All to Jesus I surrender;
humbly at his feet I bow,
worldly pleasures all forsaken;
take me, Jesus, take me now.

(Refrain)

3. All to Jesus I surrender;
make me, Savior, wholly thine;
fill me with thy love and power;
truly know that thou art mine.
(Refrain)

4. All to Jesus I surrender;
Lord, I give myself to thee;
fill me with thy love and power;
let thy blessing fall on me.

(Refrain)

5. All to Jesus I surrender;
now I feel the sacred flame.
O the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory, to his name!

(Refrain)

 The Kids Song by Kaylene, Atabong, Delyanne and Friends

'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus

'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
just to take him at his word;
just to rest upon his promise,
just to know, "Thus saith the Lord."

Refrain:
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust him!
How I've proved him o'er and o'er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust him more!

2. O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
just to trust his cleansing blood;
and in simple faith to plunge me
neath the healing, cleansing flood!

(Refrain)

3. Yes, 'tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
just from sin and self to cease;
just from Jesus simply taking
life and rest, and joy and peace.

(Refrain)

4. I'm so glad I learned to trust thee,
precious Jesus, Savior, friend;
and I know that he’s with me,
wilt be with me to the end.

(Refrain)

Seat of Wisdom Ex-Students

A song to our Fallen Hero Joseph Atabong aka Nkem Njinya

 -->  SWISCOL COLLEGE ANTHEM

     We are Students of our Lady
     Shine the Light before all men
     In the Struggle for our Country
     we shall rise and conquer all

                FORWARD EVER
                BACKWARD NEVER

     In the Spirit of Our Lady
     we shall rise and conquer all

2) Let Unity be among us
    For that, we show our own Love
    It is wisdom that we are Seeking
    All our grace will come from God

                  FORWARD EVER
                  BACKWARD NEVER

     Let us strive to be united
     All our grace will come from God.

--->   Day by day

Day by day, and with each passing moment,
     Strength I find, to meet my trials here;
     Trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment,
     I’ve no cause for worry or for fear.
     He Whose heart is kind beyond all measure
     Gives unto each day what He deems best—
     Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure,
     Mingling toil with peace and rest.

Every day, the Lord Himself      is near me
     With a special mercy for each hour;
     All my cares He wants to bear to cheer me,
     He Whose Name is Counselor and Pow’r.
     The protection of His child and treasure
     Is a charge that on Himself He laid;
     “As your days, your strength shall be in measure,”
     This the pledge to me He made.

 Help me then in every tribulation
So to trust Thy promises, O Lord,
That I lose not faith’s sweet consolation
Offered me within Thy holy Word.
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,
E’er to take, as from a father’s hand,
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
Till I reach the promised land.
