His Life
July 9, 2016

Mr. Bunn was born in Haralson, Georgia on July 5, 1928, the son of the late Daisey Bell Morris Bunn and Joseph Bunn. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Haralson, Georgia. He was married to the love of his life, Marie White for over 58 years, and was retired from the James Rivers Company where he was a machine operator. After his retirement he became a greeter at Wal-Mart in Newnan, Georgia. This was a job that truly gave him great joy because of his love for people! The fact that he could make anyone feel that he had known them all his life and his warmth and enthusiasm made people look forward to seeing him as they entered the store! He was a big Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed watching them play! In his spare time he loved tinkering on cars. His family was always upmost in his thoughts, especially his grandchildren. He was a wonderful story teller and kept family and friends mesmerized with his tall tales and animated way of presenting them. His wonderful sense of humor and loving, giving spirit will long be remembered.

He was survived by his wife, Marie Bunn of Newnan, GA; and is survived by two daughters, Angela Holloway (Kenney) of Franklin, GA., and Diana Buchanan of LaGrange, GA.; one son, Wesley Bunn of Newnan, GA.; two sisters, Inez Wilson of Jackson, GA., and Katherine Langston of Griffin, GA. ; two brothers, William and Robert Bunn both of Griffin, GA.; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
