His Life

Joseph Dale Scott, age 36, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Bethesda North Hospital on Friday, August 23, 2019.  Born in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of Dale Scott and Kimberly Robinson.  He graduated from Glen Este High School in 2001 and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from Grantham University.  Sergeant Joseph Scott served in the U.S. Army from October 2002 through April 2009 as a 13F, Artillery Fire Support Specialist.  He completed a one-year deployment with the 1st Battalion, 77th Field Artillery in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and was honorably discharged in 2009. 

Joe was a sweet and kind hearted man.  He loved his family, his dog Ginger and his Army family.  He enjoyed WWE/NXT wrestling, Mel Brooks and Bill Murray films, the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, heavy metal/rock music and his dog Ginger who he has joined in Heaven.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor, wit, caring heart, love of his family, friends and his dog, Ginger.  He is survived by his mother Kimberly (Danny) Robinson, father Dale (Mary) Scott, sister Katrina (Scott) Huy, brother Corey (Molly) Hinninger, half-brothers Ben & Nick (Stephanie) Scott, half-sister Savannah Scott, step sisters and brothers Michae (Brandon) McCollum, Andrew Robinson, Lisa Little, Laura (Wade) Swatsworth and his Goddaughter Sydney Santiago.  Joe will be forever in our hearts.
