Dear Joey, I can't believe your gone. I remember when you came with Bruce to Chicago and stayed at my house. You were so polite. You were always smiling. I felt like you were one of my kids.We all had a good time eating and sharing stories. I remember you asking about what to do with your life? I told you, "You are an intelligent young man and that you should continue on to college". I remember telling you do what makes you happy."You will truly be missed! May God keep you close to him!! Joey, Joey, Joey  why you? I've been here all day trying to figure out why God took you from us so soon and I'm still lost! From the moment we met I knew that I had met someone special and we'd be bound together for life! All the memories we created from our trip to Florida with Shannon and Brittany to the endless miles we drove together throughout the country to Minnesota! but the one city you loved was Chicago! from the moment you stepped foot in the city, you were instantly attracted to the upbeat urban life! my friends in Chicago loved you instantly...Ms. Regina, Ms. Joycelyn, Mari & her family, Jeanie & Kevin, Rey, Mario, Hamilton, Simon, Benito and Angelo....and of course Christina! I remember having to bribe the bouncer at the club so you could come in to celebrate her birthday lol.....everyone you came in contact with loved you instantly and you touched their hearts instantly! the years we shared together were some of the best years of my life! you especially touched the hearts of my mom, Miss Cathy, my sister Julia, her partner Shannon and Justin & Brittany! I remember you & your brothers staying the weekend at mom's house in Chattanooga and how happy you three made her feel! you always respected her and up until her passing she had a love for you that was like no other, my mom truly loved you and now you are up in heaven with her and granny!
I have so many more countless memories of the time we shared together and each one will be embedded in my heart, mind and soul forever! today I not only lost a friend, a part of my family, a buddy but I lost my soulmate! I'm going to miss you something terrible Joey but I take comfort knowing that your are an Angel of God and you are now safe in the hands of Jesus!
