Joseph E. Lambert, 82, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2023 at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees, NJ. He was born July 29, 1941 in Camden, NJ, son of the late Joseph and Helen Lambert.
Joe is survived by his daughters Kathleen Lambert (Brad Crisel), Tara Lambert (Greg Barber), his 5 grandchildren (Luke, Jane, Charlotte, Christopher & Savannah), as well as his long-time partner, Rosemary Murphy.
Joe was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School in Camden, NJ, Class of 1959, then attended Seton Hall and Temple University before pursuing careers in chemistry, teaching, franchise business, and information technology. He worked tirelessly into his 80s right before he became ill, often stating, “I won’t ever retire.” He will forever be remembered for his relentless dedication to and service toward others.
Joe’s bright smile and playful wit made it a pleasure to be around him. He loved spending time with friends and family, especially his children & grandchildren. Some of his favorite pastimes included photography, reading, listening to jazz music, traveling, and discussing history & politics. Joe had an unwavering passion for life, and always encouraged his daughters to pursue their dreams.
