Funeral services for Joseph “Joe” A. Korth, 25, of Norfolk, will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2011, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Norfolk. Reverend Daniel Andrews will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visitations will be at the church Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m., followed by a wake service.

Mr. Korth passed away at his home following a lengthy battle with cancer. 

Joe was born on September 8, 1985, in Norfolk, the son of Mark and Kathy (Vondenkamp) Korth.  He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and later graduated from Norfolk Senior High School in 2004.

 Joe worked as a graphic designer at Love Sign. 

He had a passion for cars and motorcycles. He collected old signs and enjoyed travelling, fishing and camping. However, he especially enjoyed being around his family and friends. He was honored on numerous occasions being selected as the godfather to many children. Joe had a very special relationship with his nephew, Charlie. 

Joe is survived by his parents; one sister, Jill and her husband Kory Hildebrand, and their son, Charlie; his grandparents, Gene and Arlene Vondenkamp, of Beatrice. 

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Alyce Grubb and Harlan Korth.
