Don’t think of me as gone away

My journey’s just begun,

Life holds so many facets

This earth is only one.

Just think of me as resting

From the sorrow and the tears

In a place of warmth and comfort

Where there are no days or years.

Please know that I am wishing

for you to know this day,

How nothing but our sadness

Can really pass away.

And think of me as living

In the hearts of those I touched…

For nothing loved is ever lost

And I was loved so much.

Joe was always such a great dad. I met him through my best friend Ron Freedman who lived next door. Always a pleasure talking with Joe.
He will be missed but never forgotten. May you dance with the Angels and unite with Jesus and family and friends.

Joe, I will treasure the times we spent playing chess. You usually won and you shared your insights. Also, it was a treat to partner with you in our volunteer duties at church. Your sense of humor was a blessing and will be missed by all. May you rest in peace.

It was my pleasure to meet Joe years ago when I moved in next door to him, with Ron and Sue. I could always find him in the garage playing around with something or fixing something for someone. I always enjoyed our long conversations, and the knowledge and advice he had to give me on everything in life. We all will always miss you, hope you get to meet Ron up in heaven and catch up.

I met Joe when I become friends with Trina in middle school. I remember him in those days to be such a warm and friendly man, who always made me feel welcome in their home where I spent numerous days and nights having sleepovers with Trina and McKenzie. He was always talkative and chatty with us girls back then. Thank you, Joe for being so kind to me then and many years later at Trina’s wedding. I remember him dancing and have a grand time. He was funny, thoughtful and such a good, good man. Sending comforting thoughts to Carolyn, Trina, Cyndi, Teresa, Glen, Douglass, and Joe’s family everywhere.
