His Life
May 15, 2012

Joseph Richard Carpintieri, Sr. born to the late Joseph Carpintieri and Rosaria Carpintieri on January 23, 1939 departed this life on May 2, 2010.  He was youngest child of six siblings (four girls and two boys).

At a very early age, Joseph learned how to do automotive repair from his younger brother Tony.  After many years of working for various auto shops, he became an entrepreneur and opened his own automotive repair and paint business.  Joseph also taught his sons at early ages the trade of automobile repair and restoration.

Joseph also known as “Joe”, “Dad”, “Pop-Pop”, “Pop-Pop Joe” and “Poppa Joe” was extremely loved by many for very different reasons, especially his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and church members.

Joe loved to go fishing with his sons and grandsons.  Anytime one of them called to say let go fishing he made himself available because that was their time to bond with one another.

During the latter years of Joe’s life he became a peaceful man, and an active member of his church in Edgewood,Maryland.  He was devoted time daily to participate in a daytime ministry program called “Welcome One Fellowship” at New Hope Christian Fellowship to help the needy.  The staff referred to him as a man with a lot of grace and charm, who was sincere and had a heart for the Lord.  He also participated in daily devotions, and had a lot of input in the Bible class lessions.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Joseph, Jr., Angela, Anthony, Jonathan, Saundria, Rosita, Guiseppi, and Sascha, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren; two Sisters: Rose and Rita, as well as a wealth of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.  God has transitioned him from the world to be united with his departed parents, son Mario, Sr., sisters Marian and Marie, and his brother Tony resting in peace.
