I will always remember Joe for his kindness and thoughtfulness. Even though we were not part of his real family he never forgot us on holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas. I miss his phone calls everyday to talk. Even though he called a little too much. I realize now how much he is missed. I sometimes wish I could have saved one of his voicemails on the answering machine just to hear his voice again. He would always call me about how I made my picadillo lol. He loved to cook mexican food. he was such a good cook. We love you Joe.

I will always treasure the memories I have with Joe.
He wasn't a person to show his affection but you knew he cared
by the little things he did for the ones he loved. Underneath that rough exterior of bluntness was a huge heart of gold, especially for animals. He always made time to care for his furry friends in need. Joe was good at so many things, cooking was one of the many things. He was such a great cook. He took time to cook everything to perfection for those he invited over for dinner. Joe was known for cooking delicious spaghetti. I will miss the way he could turn my bad day around with heartwarming texts or saying something to make me laugh. I could always depend on Joe whenever I was in a bad situation without harsh judgment. Instead, he would give me advice that came from a place of love. Joe had so many strenuous obstacles throughout his life that would have so many others ready to throw in the towel if they were in his shoes. He had an incredible inner strength like no other for such a little guy. I would tell him he was like Thomas the train. The little engine that could. He would smile. Joe and I would do anything for each other despite how many times we argued or had a falling out. We always managed to turn things around and come back to be by each other's side in times of need. Joe was more than just another friend to me. Joe was my home. My family. My life. I will never forget him. I love you Joe, I miss you. ❤
