Dear Uncle Joe (JANCA),

Hmmmm, so it is two whole years now and truly, we all miss you on this side of the divide.

In particular I miss your witty, historical analysis on topical issues, your genuine and lofty dreams and aspirations for the unity, upliftment and development of NWOKO's family.

For sure, you are in a better place in the after-life together with your mother Adamma, brothers Linus and Damian and other departed relatives and friends.

Continue to rest in peace, amen.

Oh! Death, where is thy sting? It saddens my heart to understand that you are no more. Continue to rest in God's bosom until the last day. Adieu!

Uncle Joe,

It is extremely difficult for me to refer to you in the past tense. Your ebullient nature, your dietary habits and hygiene, personal discipline and above all strong commitment to the things of the Spirit suggested to me that you were going to be around for a long time to come. You were a man of strong ethical and moral conviction, forthrightness, eloquence, positive can-do spirit, and courage. Very hard for me to comprehend that there will be no one to discuss and debate national and international issues with. You associated with success and never hesitated to genuinely rejoice at any good thing that happened to the ones you love. Truly, an iroko is fallen and an iconic giant is gone from our midst!!! I will miss you, Umunwoko and Umumkpehi will miss you, your leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
Rest in peace and journey well my dear Uncle, Elder Josephat Ayokuwa Nwoko .

Your sad nephew,
Dr Chinedu Nwoko

My dad, (Elder pastor Josephat Nwoko ) was and still is in memory, a strong, intelligent, dedicated and honest man. He sacrificed his years doing good for his family, without wanting or expecting anything in return. My dad set an example to others, for his integrity and loyalty. There wasn’t anything my dad wouldn’t do to make our life better. His joyful, positive spirit was remarkable, along with his acceptance of everyone he knew. My dad was a very dedicated leader, and gave his all in everything he set his heart to do. We were always taken care of very well by my dad, and we always felt so proud of him, for who he was. Now, he is in the afterlife. We still feel so proud of him, and we marvel about all he was and all he did. Our love for my dad stays strong as the days go by.
He’s still our hero!!
