Funeral Mass will be held at The Cathedral of St. Paul Catholic Church located on 2120 3rd Ave. North, Birmingham, AL 35203 on Tuesday, December 10th at 10 am. There will be a one hour visitation at 9 am immediately preceding the Mass.

Josephine Norma, devoted wife of Gene Otto Cox, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, lived a very eventful life with many stories to tell. She grew up in South Philadelphia—the famed Italian section—with most of her family being either immigrants or first-generation American citizens of Italian or French-Tunisian decent.  She told her life stories with sparkle, charm, and side-splitting humor.  But the story that overshadows her life story is the best of all—she died bathed in God’s mercy. To the Catholic and Christian community in the Birmingham area, the family thanks you! You were the hands and face of our Lord Jesus. To the hospice workers and medical community, you were God’s instruments as well, and we thank you.  To Mom, we love you! With love to Mom and everyone, the family of Josephine Norma Cox.
