Josie was the first person to make me feel at home when I first started at UMC. She was always checking in with me to make sure I was adapting well and to let me know she thought I was doing a good job. She was so kind and always put others first. We called her our mother hen and our welcome wagon. She was constantly taking care of her friends and neighbors here in the community. It will not be the same without her here. I will miss her stories about growing up in Brooklyn, her high kicks worthy of the Rockettes, and making jokes about riding the stationary bike all the way to Atlantic City. I'll miss her smile and her chasing me down with cookies and candy. She will always be in our hearts.

I was so very sorry to learn of Josie's passing. She was such a loving and compassionate woman--always ready with a helping hand (or a hand to hold), a smile, and a joke. She truly cared for others, and had a heart that matched her generous and kind nature. My deepest condolences go to her family and friends. She will be forever missed and not forgotten.
