Josephine ”Josie” Schaber, age 94, passed away on May 24, 2019 in Sewell, NJ.
Funeral will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 284 Cedar Road, Mullica Hill, NJ on Thursday, May 30, 2019. Visitation will be 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM. Service will be 11:00 AM. Luncheon at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow the luncheon at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 300 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ.
Josephine was born in Dividing Creek, NJ to Antonio Alibrando and Fortunato Trifiro Alibrando on December 11, 1924. She married Richard A. Schaber on November 22, 1947. They were married 54 years. For most of their marriage they lived in Oaklyn, NJ. Through her life she worked for several different companies including RCA Victor and Campbell Soup Company in Camden, NJ, Reisman Corporation in Pennsauken, Green Valley Farms in Haddon Township, and Whitehall Pharmaceuticals in Hammonton.
Josephine was a member of the Brooklawn United Methodist. For many years she was a member of the Order Sons of Italy in America, Pennsauken Lodge #2258 and the Young at Heart Club in Pennsauken with her sister and best friend, Lucy. Josephine loved to read and garden and was an avid Phillies fan.
Josephine is survived by her brother, Vincent Alibrando, her daughter, Linda Ostrow, and her son, Dean Schaber, as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by husband, Richard A. Schaber and her son, Richard Schaber, and her other siblings.
