His Life
August 21, 2019
Joseph Benjamin Knoll passed away at the age of 70 in Howell, New Jersey.

Surviving Joseph are his wife of 39 years, Diane Knoll, and his two daughters, Pam and Erica Knoll.  He also leaves behind his nephew, Howie Rafal, and niece, Mindy Cimmino.

Joseph was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.  Growing up, some of his fondest memories came from selling ice cream on his Uncle Jack's truck.  At the age of 23, he became an active member of the U.S. Navy, where he served for four years.  With an undeniable ability to talk to anyone, along with his self-taught business smarts, he achieved a successful salesman career for over 30 years.  During this time, Joseph met his wife, Diane, started a family, and later moved to New Jersey where they resided in the same home for 29 years.

One of Joseph's favorite hobbies was seeing Broadway shows.  Having seen 62 shows, he just recently saw Bat Out of Hell which he ranked his number one of all time.  After years of hard work and a much earned retirement, he found new passions for cooking and traveling, particularly cruising.  Family vacations became a priority, creating a lifetime of memories.  The family most recently visited Aruba, where he was ecstatic to parasail for the very first time at the age of 70.

A funeral service will be held August 23 at Lakewood Funeral Home in Howell, New Jersey from 10:30-12:30.  A burial service will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey at 1:30.
