That photo where you are smiling warms my heart. I know in your heart that is the man you were; and always wanted to be, but the struggles of life robbed you. Most of those in your life that should have protected you throughout life were such dismal failures, blaming each other, rather than reaching out to help you. My heart broke when I heard what had happened to you. The upside is, I know what your heart was, and the spirit that was in you was not what others thought. Travis told me that when he graduated from the fire academy you called to tell him how proud you were of him. It meant a lot to him. Upon your death, God showed me so clearly you in heaven with uncle John greeting you. Both of you were hugging and joyful; and at peace. It gave me such comfort. Rest easy. Hug John. <3
