Josue “Josh” Rodriguez Gonzales, 39, died August 13, 2021. Mr. Gonzales was born on December 3, 1981, in Big Spring to Tomas and Joni Rodriguez Gonzales. Josh married Hollie Lammert on June 16, 2012, in Snyder.

He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend.

Josh is a 2000 Snyder High School graduate. He received his bachelor of arts in history from The University of Texas, Austin.

He enjoyed hiking, day trips, playing music and skateboarding with his wife and children. His local worship ministry at the East Side Church of Christ, performing bands and family exhibited his love of music and rhythmic ability. Josh’s gentle demeanor and thoughtfulness were some of his most outstanding qualities.

Josh’s legacy of love and caring for others will be carried and remembered always. He loved his parents, sisters and their families with all his heart and cherished family time together. Josh frequently enjoyed visiting family for breakfast at the family restaurant, Joni’s. He meticulously worked on projects to improve the present, build a better future and create the best environment for his family and community.

Supportive of the local industry, Josh worked in the oil field industry since his return to Snyder. Josh’s talents were endless, evident in his comical relief and impression of personalities. Josh maintained a great understanding of political science and history and loved the art of conversation. Josh was avid global humanitarian and of current events. He loved to study the word of God and regularly attended church with friends and family. He was a member of Eastside Church of Christ and a long-time member of Trinity Methodist Church in Snyder. Josh will be remembered as caring and loving toward all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raul and Dorothy Rodriguez, and Enedina Gonzalez.

Josh is survived by his wife Hollie Gonzales of Snyder; two daughters, Veda and Violet Gonzales of Snyder; parents Tomas and Joni Gonzales of Snyder; sisters Ira Florez and her husband Alberto of Lubbock and Bianca Chandler and her husband Wes of Snyder; father and mother-in-law Tracy and Carrie Lammert; sister-in-law Lexi Bunnell and her husband Derrick; nieces Kenzie Chandler and Alyse Bunnell; and nephew Weston Chandler.

Arrangements were under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
