I have countless memories of Joyce that I will forever Cherish - especially of all the summers I spent up in Minnesota visiting. Just to name a few:

* Many, many visits to Lake Harriett
* Minnehaha Falls
* The Malt Shop 
* Joyce's love for flowers and candles... we used to go to the Farmer's Market all the time and come home with gorgeous gladiolas that she would put in a large vase in front of her fireplace.
* Planning fancies dinners for absolutely no reason at all. We used to set her dining room table up with linens, china, crystal, napkin rings, candles... you name it!
* Deciding if I'd be sleeping in the brown room or the purple room.
* Trips to Red Wing
* Pretending like we were rich and looking at mansions and deciding where we would live. 
* Joyce helping me get over my childhood fear of both dogs and cats
* Watching Prince Charles and Princess Diana's wedding at some ungodly hour of the day.
* Watching the 1984 Olympics
* Pretending we were synchronized swimmers
* Lots of fun with Cleo - still one of my favorite dogs of all times. 
* Shopping at Bachmanns, the Christmas store in July and the fancy grocery store that had carpet, a chandelier and grocery delivery to your car.
* Beautiful christmas tree ornaments given to me over the years from Joyce that decorate my tree every year... (they have always meant a lot to me, but mean even more now!)   

I could go on and on ... lots of fun. LOTS of laughs. Lots of love. She was one of the few people I allowed to call me "Jenny". She was more than cousin... she was the sister my mom never had and an Aunt to me and my sister. I miss her dearly and will cherish all of the fun times we had together.
