This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Joyce Denninger-Reihing, 84 years old, born on February 14, 1939, and passed away on May 24, 2023. We will remember her forever.

My Great grandmother (GG) meant so much in my life, and still does.
She was the person you would be so excited to go see, she was the Great Grandmother that always had her house open to others, it's really where I made most of my family memories, it's where our entire family came together for holiday party's, and other get-togethers!
I still remember her teaching me and my brother how to make cinnamon-sugar bread! I also remember watching movies with her on her VHS player, or when we were praying for dinner and I had my hat on and she told me that I shouldn't have it on, and that it was rude to ask a women's age. This may not seem like things that matter, but I feel these are things that have shaped me and that I still remember, and always will!
My GG always loved to have family around, she always made people happy, that was who she was, she loved to entertain, she loved to talk, and she was just such a loving person. I always loved her hugs and just how fun she was, and how fun she was to talk to, it didn't seem like it in the moment, but now looking back, I know I will miss our talks, our laughs, our hugs, our love.
I know that this loss took a big piece of my heart out, but the Lord gives and takes away. But I will continue to trust in my Savior.
I will miss you my GG, and I always will.

Our Mom did her best to love everyone and make everyone happy. Her family was most important to her. She wanted everyone close to her to celebrate life.
She cared about and worried about each one of her children, her grandchildren, Great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Even at the end of her life, she remembered birthdays and wanted to send birthday cards to each one of them.
I think her happiest times were spent in the home she grew up in. On her front porch with family and friends around. This was her home. The one her father grew up in, the one his parents built, and the home that was open to everyone at any time. Her door was never locked.
She loved her flowers and she loved to decorate, making her home something special. One of her most memorable decorating activities was her Christmas Tree, which became the HOLIDAY tree. She kept that tree up all year round. And, for each season, she would decorate it. Hearts for Valentine’s Day, masks for Halloween, flags for Fourth of July, flowers in the Spring, Golden leaves in the fall, and of course Christmas sparkles. You get the picture. At first, we just thought she was just crazy. But she loved it and we enjoyed seeing what her next idea would be for this tree.
For me, some of my most special times with Mom were when I would take her for a drive to places unknown. I remember one time when we drove to VA to see her sister Elizabeth, we took a detour to some back roads and came upon a small café that once was a railroad station. The old railroad track was long deserted, but We sat outside the cafe with a stream running behind it and had a lunch and talked about life. She loved those drives where we would talk and explore places along the way and I will miss her sitting beside me.
Our mom loved to dance and sing.
And now she is dancing with our Lord. We will miss her dearly.
My mother will always be with me, in my heart and my memories. She has left her fingerprint upon my soul. So while an empty place remains in my heart, I know she is finally at peace and in a better place. Our Lord has taken her home and I am grateful.

I still cannot believe my best friend is gone.
Joyce & I were very close friends for 35 years.
We not only travelled together, but we were also there for each other, no matter what time of day or night.
I will miss all of the laughs & even the crying that we shared throughout the years.
Sincere condolences to her entire family especially her children, Tammy, Jeanette, Tommy & Dawn.
