One of the last memories I have of Nita was during Christmas about 4 years ago. My son and I always went Christmas shopping at Walmart during the early morning before Christmas. This happened about midnight. We were done shopping for the night and as I was walking out of Walmart, Nita was in the line to be checked out.She saw me and ask me to wait on her. We did at the front entrance of the grocery side of Walmart. When she came to me, she put out her arms and hugged me close and told me she loved me. She said that Bubba was getting to be a big man and that he favored Uncle Ellis which was my daddy. We laughed about several things and as we were walking to the car, a young man was troubled that particular night with a problem he was having. He was skate boarding on the side walk and the skate board tripped him and he fell. She yelled at him and ask him if he was all right. He screamed back at Nita, an ugly word and told her to be quiet. Something was terribly wrong with the young man and the authorities were on their way to pick him up. Before they got there, he threw the skate board and missed my head by just feet. She hugged me and told me good night and for me to go on home before something bad happened to one of us. Before we departed she looked back at me and smiled. Her exact words were this. "One day, we all are going to meet GOD and when we get there, it will not be like this. There will be nothing but happiness. No sorrow, no troubles like this." She got in her car and so did we. She and I both said we would have to pray for that young man.. and we both agreed to do so.. and said "Good night, Merry Christmas. I love you". We both left. The next time I saw Nita, she had been diagnosed with cancer and it troubled me. I had peace in my heart knowing that Nita knew God and the peaceful stillness that He gives to people in need. She was an awesome lady.. I loved her.. with loving memories today..  her cousin here on Earth, Nancy Milam-Still
