Mrs. Thomas was born in West Virginia to the late Joe Smith and the late Littie Cook Smith, she was a homemaker, and a member of the LaFayette First Baptist Church.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Forrest Thomas, and 9 brothers & sisters.  

She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Douglas) Hall of Daviston, Al., brother James Smith of Webster Springs, W.Va., 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
