Judith's great love of all animals started with her first pet rabbit called Blackie (well she was six!) who Judith absolutely adored and she took complete responsibility for all her care, which is quite unusual in someone so young. Blackie was a well known and highly successful escapeologist. The neighbour with the prize winning vegetable patch wasn't quite so fond of Blackie, who we regularly had to recover from in between his cauliflowers and cabbages.

From then on Judith's passion for wildlife and the environment never ceased to grow. Wherever she lived around the world Judith was always an active volunteer and campaigner for conservation and animal welfare.
