I first met this wonderful woman on September 3, 1963. Well, actually, I had known her for about 9 months already by that point. I loved her from the moment that I first saw her until the moment that she died and still. My memories of my childhood are good and full of Mom (and Dad) being there for me whenever I needed her, had a boo-boo, first break-up, all sorts of school traumas/hardships/triumphs, birth of my child, everything. She may not have always agreed with my decisions but she, in the end, always supported me. Trust me, she had no issue in voicing her disapproval of a bad decision either. I have memories of her singing, she loved music and loved to sing along to her favorite songs. Not long before she passed, she wanted to hear Neil Diamond and I played a cd for her. I was out in the other room and I Am, I Said came on...I heard her voice singing strong right alongside Neil and I just stood there crying, knowing I would not hear that again. She had a beautiful voice, was a beautiful soul. I hope she found the peace she was looking for. I miss her so......
