MOMMA

March 20, 2015

Judith "Judy" Rae Edling Jones, 75, returned to her heavenly home on March 16th, 2015 after a valiant battle with a long illness.  Her devotion to her son Joshua and God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Judy was born on November 30th, 1939 to late Arthur H Edling, and late Ruth Christianson Edling and lived in Hennepin, Minnesota. Her step mother was Laurie Edling.

She married Laurence Randall Pigg on June 3rd 1959 and had three beautiful daughters,Her first born Kelly Lee Pigg Randall, Kristin Adriana Pigg Randall, and Jennifer Page Pigg Randall.  Her husband Larry Randall was a musician in a band where they would travel with the band to places like Kodiak, Alaska,Canada, and many other places around the U.S.  Sometimes she would even sing with the band if a singer in the band was out. Her friends say that she was an adventurist, curious, and never met a stranger.  Friends say that she always wanted everyone to get together for a band BBQ. She loved to shop and was on the cutting edge of fashion. She was a very good cook. While on the road, they had many dogs that she loved very much.   Larry and Judy and the girls settled in Fort Worth, Texas.  They had many fun and fond memories on the road.  People always said that her beauty was that likeness of Elizabeth Taylor.  She had such amazing beauty.  She was an amazing housewife to these girls while the leader of the band was working.

Her wonderful second husband was the late Franklin D Jones.  They married on May 21, 1974.  They loved picnics in the park and listening to music. They also loved their morning coffee conversations. They gave birth to the love of her life, Joshua Jones.  Judy and Joshua had that special mother and son relationship that is only created in Heaven.  While she was raising Joshua, she attended nursing school and was licensed as a chemical dependency counselor.  She was Executive Director at  Riverplace Counseling Center of Anoka, Minnesota from 1983- 2007, helping many lovely people in need. She brought the love of Christ to the hurting.  Her staff loved her very much.  Joshua and Judy traveled together to places such as Naples, Florida and  to Courpus Cristi, Texas.  They traveled to Georgia to see other family members like Kristin Graham and Bobby Graham and her only grandson Lane Graham.  She was always a joy to have around. She and Joshua would also travel to Florida to visit her daughter Jennifer and they would travel to Dallas to visit Kelly.  She also loved traveling to Mazatlan and Cancun Mexico.
