A Gift from God

March 14, 2013

For all that don't know or have not heard the story of the poem that the Lord gave me I thought I would share it with you. On March 14, 2007 "five months before mama passed away" at 2:00a.m. the Lord set me down at my computer and gave me a poem. At the time I didn't know it was about mama; I thought it was for glenn when I passed. So anyway Five months later mama went into the hospital to have open heart surgery for the second time and the morning of her surgery the Dr came into her room and told us that they were going to take her for some test and for us to take her stuff to our car because she wouldn't be coming back to that room after surgery so we didn't give mama any kisses or hugs or anything because they said she would be right back  after her test. Well we took her stuff down to the car and went back to the room and waited.... and waited... So I finally went down to the nurses desk and asked whats the deal? and she said "Oh she is in a different room waiting to go to surgery" I asked where and we went there and waited... Again I went to nurses desk and asked "what's going on we want to see our mom before surgery!" she said "i'll check" then came back to us and told us she was already in surgery!! We were so angry! When she came out of surgery there were complications and she never woke up. The last thing I said to my mom was "see you in a few minutes"!!

So now that you know how it all went the day of her surgery I'll post my poem that the Lord blessed me with five months earlier. Hope you enjoy it.

                                                   My Loving Family

They say that life is passing fast

I know that this is true

I left this world so quickly

With no goodbye to you

I know how much you miss me

Your tears fall ever light

The pillow where you lay your head

Is wet with them a night

I know your heart is hurting

The words we left unsaid

I love you's unspoken

Are spinning in your head

The strength that I have carried

That serve to make you whole

Remains to make you stronger

Within your grieving soul

For you see, while you were weeping

On the day I passed away

At the gravesite near the flowers

Where my loved ones knelt to pray

An angel came to see me

She took me by the hand

She led me to a kingdom

In a very distant land

As I look down from Heaven

And see you standing there

Your heart forever broken

With more grief than it can bare

I long to bring you comfort

I long to give you peace

I long to hold you closely

Cause all your tears to cease

I'm sorry that I left you

But it was my time to go

The years we shared together

meant more to me than you'll ever know

I'll watch over you from Heaven

Untill the day you arrive

Promise me you'll live for Christ

While you are alive

You needn't be so troubled

Stay close to God and pray

That someday we'll be together

One bright and glorious day

So my darling family, please don't question

My love ones; please don't cry

I've gone to be with Jesus

I really didn't die.

Day of surgery

December 6, 2012

This picture is of my mom the day she had her surgery. The last day she was ever awake. She will forever be missed.
