This memorial website was created in memory of our Mom, Judy Stewart, 73 years old, born on February 10, 1948, and passed away on April 24, 2021. We will remember her forever.

If Mom's life crossed paths with yours, we would love for you to join us in celebrating her life.

Please mention the RIVERSIDE LODGE or Judy Stewart for free admittance to the park.  Lunch, water and soda will be provided.  Please bring any other beverage of choice you may like to enjoy. LODGE is handicapped accessible and restrooms are inside.
We changed the venue to enable us to have a kitchen/Air conditioning and get away from the Cicadas.

Mom asked to be cremated and will be placed at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in a granite niche near the gardens, waterfall and pond.

Our mom's life started out very rough.  God stepped in and rescued her and her sister with wonderful foster parents, Carl and Mary Ann Crider (our Mamaw and Papaw).  Survived by her loving daughters Shelley Landis, Beth Cooper Myers and Katrina Springman Kenton and her companion for the last 20 years Jim Williams. Son in Law's Mike Landis, Scott Myers and Bill Kenton.

Mom loved her grandson's Neil Adamson and Logan Myers and her granddaughter Hannah Connley with all of her heart. She was so proud of the beautiful young adults they were becoming.  Every chance she had, she told everyone how proud she was of her daughters and grandchildren.

Her younger sister Glenda Hutchison was always by her side along with brother-n-law Ed Hutchison and their children, her niece and nephew Amy Campbell and Chad Hutchison.

Mom had many "brothers and sisters" over the years.  Most notably are Chris Crider, Carla Crider Spenser Pollitt and Rob Crider, children of her foster parents.  She found her biological brothers and sisters, Michael Reeves, Ellen Jean Reeves, Peggy Sue Paquin, Glenice Sells, Gwenda Dean, Sharon Reeves, Glenn  Reeves.  Many
foster siblings throughout the years,  Anna Parkers, Margret Baye, Sandy Woodall, Peggy Furhman, Lisa Centers Boggs, Carla Stemler Hadfeild and many other who were blessed to go thru the Crider home.  She also had so many friends in her life along the way.  Many of whom she hadn't seen in person for several years but she kept in contact thru social media.

Mom was always proud of her extended family.  We were surprised to find out several years ago that mom had a baby at the age of 16 and had to give it up for adoption.  God stepped in and reunited mom and us with her daughter Katrina Springman Kenton over the past year.

We always referred to mom as "small but mighty". She never had much but always made us feel like we had everything.  She worked 2 and 3 jobs, finally getting her degree in Journalism and Communications with Honors.  She lived each day to its fullest, treated others like she wanted to be treated, taught us to be humble and would help anyone who asked her for it.

Her last few years were spent in so much pain from terrible osteoporosis fractures and difficulty breathing from her COPD.  Now she is looking upon us with no pain and breathing freely in heaven.

Missing you everyday,
Shelley and Beth

Judy picked me out to be her friend on line. We had some good, funny conversations. I never met her in person, and didn't know her very long, but she was special to me. She shared a few things with me, and once she told me she was in pain. I always kept her in my prayers, and I miss her.  At least now she is at peace. To her beautiful daughters, please accept my heartfelt condolences.

To know Aunt Judy was to love her. Her love was unconditional and she raised strong, independent, beautiful women by her example. She enjoyed her life and was always pleased to help others. Some of her great joys included her pets, fishing, and traveling. Her love for learning continued in her writing, even having some published. Aunt Judy's greatest joy came from her family and those she loved as family. Her strong faith carried her through years of struggles and overcoming hardship. She left this world with her message to all of us - never stop loving, never lose faith, and never give up. Your eternal love is within us all.

I loved you from the first day we met and never stopped loving you. You were so full of life when we met and that is what made me fall in love with you. From day 1 our life together was 1 adventure after another. Our last year together was so hard on the both of us with you in so much pain and I could do nothing to stop it.. You are pain free now and that makes your passing easier to accept but my heart is still broken. I LOVED YOU THEN AND I LOVE YOU STILL. I WILL MISS YOU FOREVER

As I create this webpage, I know you are free from pain. . I love you mom. You were so good to us. I know you will watch over us everyday and help us guide our way thru the rest of our lives until we see you again. There are too many words to write them all here, but I know you can hear my thoughts and prayers everyday. Missing you......
Your baby girl

Mom often wrote poetry.  This is the last poem mom wrote that we know of.
