It's so hard to believe that this beautiful girl is gone! I hadn't seen Julie in many years, but was so sorry to hear of her passing! I remember her well as a little girl when we first met...I pierced her ears when she was probably 7 or 8 years old! Beautiful child, even more beautiful woman! RIP. Fly high!

It's been a year, but I still feel like you just stepped through the door into the other room. Sometimes it's just too much.

The sudden passing of our youngest sister has left us bereft and tremenously grieving for her. Julie's effervescent joy in life was felt by everyone who knew her. As a teenager she sang with us sisters on the Grand Ole Opry with our Mom and dad, Boots and Billy Walker. For 8 years she co- owned her self titled bar "Julie's" know world wide, for fun times, cold beer and goodlookin women in Mobile,AL. She was the first one there for friends and family when you needed a shoulder to cry on, a helping hand or your butt verbally kicked with good advice. She loved God, her family and her prayer everyday was " help me God so I may be able to help others". And she did everyday. We miss you and your bossy ways , no excuse me your strong leadership skills. God loves you and we love you, pass it on. She leaves behind Sisters: Judy Walker Jett, Deana Walker Schmidt, Tina Walker Highers, Nephews: Quenton Scott Pulliam
, Lance Highers and Niece: Sylvia Highers

Julie

January 30, 2019

From the golden haired little girl who at the age of three would climb the fence and charm the horse to come to her.  Climbing on back with no saddle or bridle she would ride ole Brazos across the pasture with our collie dog Tracy at her heels.  That set the tone for Julie's life, fearlessly setting new paths for herself and those who loved her.

She had music in her soul, adventure in her heart and family was her rock.

She lived a quest for the perfect island in her last years and when she found it she never left it physically.  Spirituality she soars in our hearts and our lives everyday in many ways.  The pain of the physical loss is still there, but the memories of our life of everyday joy, happiness, fun and the sisterhood have overwhelmed the sadness.  You motto in as you told me many times has now become mine "God, help me so I can help others". You did, Julie, in so many ways; friendships, financially and spiritually.  I  celebrate you and your day of passing on to your higher non physical self.  You vibrate with the music of the universe, you shine with glory of God.  I look forward to our reunion my sister in life and soul.
