June White Compton, of 9023 Grassy Creek Road, Bullock, went home to be with her savior, Saturday, October 26th 2013, at her home. She was a native of Granville County, NC, and the daughter of the late William J and Callie Saunders White. She was a member of West Oxford Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. In her later years she attended Grassy Creek Baptist Church, and Tungsten Baptist Church. She retired from Granville Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, October 28th, 2013 at Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by the Rev. Sam Brewer. Interment will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Lee Compton and two brothers; Claude J. White and Jerry T. White. She is survived by her four children, Timothy L. and D. Craig Compton both of Bullock, Karen C. Ward of Oxford and Mark S. Compton of Oxford; two brothers, David L. White of Oxford and Billy R. White of Butner, 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 28th, 2013 from 12:30 – 2:00 at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford.
