TRIBUTE TO A FIL LIKE NO OTHER.

I am not sure where to start buh suffice it to say that I was highly favored by you...sometimes I felt you were partial towards me. I came into your home and found/got new set of parents. I was not treated like an inlaw but like a daughter.
I remember my unilag days, you instantly took my allowance up 10x more than it was ....as a young girl that was too much money in my hands I immediately started "buying n selling ", my success story can't be complete without you. 
My admiration for you started when I asked you to select a date for our Anglican wedding in Enugu, contrary to everyone's belief and expectation you responded saying " that will be a huge embarrassment to your father," I was taken aback; you considered my father's status as a prominent member of the catholic KSM. I just fell in love with you.
I remember one conversation with you, I was asking a favor, you didn't let me finish before saying "whatever it is, the answer is yes" I turned to mummy and with a smile on her face she said "what won't daddy do for you". I remember all my gist with you, you were a great conversationalist. Never a dull moment with you.
You always came through for my kids n I and I am forever grateful. 
Everyone that knows me knows I share a special bond with you. The love was reciprocal. I remember after you read my tribute to my late father(whom you never hid how much you loved n respected) you started calling me "chi m oo" that signaled to me that you just wanted me to know I still had a father in you. Anytime I called on the phone and said chinwe speaking, you would ask "o chinwe nke m?"

I always say I am a favored child of God, you were one of God's favor to me. A father-in-law like no other, honest, kind- hearted , loving, generous, humorous, humble and yet arrogant in some ways.
I love you daddy, I have loved you from day one, to know you is to love you. I remember my last conversation with you while you were in the hospital, apparently you knew it was the last. Thank you for asking Ubez to call me that day. I remember my last visit, January, it was obvious to me you were trying to say something to me ....I didn't hear you but I know it was u blessing me. I know you only want the best for us.
Rest in peace my precious father in law. Now I have added you to my list of people who are in heaven, interceding on my behalf, I am sure more answered prayers await me.
To know you is really to love you.

Great uncle, I feel saddened to hear the news of your death. You were kind, hospitable, generous, and a blessing to many people.

Ever willing to render a helping hand to anyone in need and caring deeply for others. You supported me throughout my time in Enugu – you took it upon yourself to ensure I had a smooth registration into the university. When I was struggling to read and do my schoolwork in the university because of an eye problem, you were the one who made it possible for me to get eyeglasses. You always welcomed me with a warm smile on your face whenever I visited you from school. You showed your love and provided support when my dad passed away.

While we mourn today, we also take comfort because you have fulfilled your mission on earth. Rest in perfect peace until we meet again. We will dearly miss you.

A Tribute To A Dear Uncle.

I never knew I will be writing this so soon because I was wishing you will live till you are a 100 years old, knowing how strong you were. But like they say, death comes like a wind & it's inevitable to all.
Notwithstanding, I thank God you lived up to 90 years plus.

Your memories remain unforgettable to me because you were indeed a great and gifted man. Your presence really made us not to feel the loss of our parents, especially our father, (your elder brother) who died when we were very young. You really played a good role of a father to us. Also, the efforts you made in bringing your nephews and nieces together, making sure there was a mutual communication between everyone.
I appreciate you for that.

Though you were a very disciplined man, but your jovial nature of always cracking jokes made people feel at home around you.

The great things you accomplished in life will always speak for you for many years to come.
We will feel your absence so much but our consolation is that you are in a better place now.

A beautiful memory dearer than gold, of an uncle whose worth can never be told.And we can't think of anything we wouldn't give to see that lovable familiar face that meant so much to us.You were not just an uncle to us,you were also a great father,grand father and father-in -law.We are not mourning your demise ,rather we are celebrating because we all know that you lived a worthy and fulfilled life,with footprints on the sand of time.Till we meet again on the resurrection Morning..

One thing is clear to all mortals. According to the Book of Ecclesiastics there is time to be born and a time to die.
My Uncle, Justice Ubezonu came, saw it all, achieved ait in life and conquered all.
I lost my mum at a very tende age, his immediate elder sister. He and Mrs Momah an elder sister also, until the later passed, were the two that kept the memory of my mum alive in me.
He was more than an uncle. He was a counsellor to all my siblings and I and we ran to him when we were overwhelmed by the Viccititude of life. He was always there for us.
I have cautioned my cousins, his direct seeds that no one should mourn or cry. Uncle lived a successful life. It's celebration of life. He passed at 9 decades, not a mean feat!
All I wish him is eternal peace in the Lord until we meet to part no more.
