I had a dream about you last night. I can't remember what it entailed, but for some reason, you were on my mind, I suppose. From teaching you at Oregon Middle School to coaching you on the Varsity Dance Team, I had the joy of seeing you grow and light up a room with that smile. Your energy was infectious, and years later, I still smile just thinking about you. xoxo

There are so many beautiful , wonderful, funny memories... I miss early Christmas mornings ...we would unlock the door, Because we all knew Katie would be over right after she opened her gifts so she could tell us what she got ....over and over again.. And still.every Christmas morning we look for her to come charging through our door.....its not the same without her......we love you Katie....forever our Christmas Angel

I had all of the Viola girls in art class. I enjoyed having all of them but it was Katie who enjoyed the arts most of all. I enjoyed her smile, sense of humor and enthusiasm. I remember her kindness and compassion for students who were struggling or needed a friend.

Forever in our hearts

I remember how excited she was about going to LIBS, she did such a beautiful job on Mo's hair for her Sweet Sixteen, None of us will ever forget what a great time the entire family had at Montauk, they were the BEST vacations we ever had. When I was working, She brought me cupcakes for Halloween - so many memories and I will hold on to them forever. Miss, Love, Sad, Sorry for us all to be without a shining light

I remember Katie bringing Jess to the Halloween dance. We got to hang out together and it struck me how full of life and promise she was. When Jess was a runner up in the costume contest it was Katie who brought her up on stage. I don't know who had a bigger smile, Katie or Jess.

When my son Kevin was still in his wheelchair we all went to the Poconos tubing. Katie was SO caring and attentive to Kevin. She made him feel like a million bucks! She never talked down to him or treated him "special" because he was in a wheel chair. She goofed with him and flashed her AWESOME smile at him.. That was March 4th. Coincindentally Kevin had a visit with an angel on that same date some years earlier when he was 2!!! It was a day I will never forget! He was SO excited to see "this guy in a dress" show up in our living room while I was getting ready. He was waiting patiently for me singing "Angels watching over me" in his little chair when in his words an angel came to see him! .. It was the same day we were told there was a genetic condition causing his joint and bone problems and he would require surgeries and was "disabled". He saw another angel on that date years later.. Sweet Katie!!! We will see her again! Her short life had so much love and meaning that many can't accomplish in years on this earth... Im happy to say that Kevin is doing great! walking, going to college and working. He has a special girl watching over him flashing that smile every time he succeeds! Love to you sweet girl! xo
