Kam Fatt was truly an inspiration to all that he met. He lived a life of contribution and was dedicated to making Bukit Bintang a good place to live and to work in.Always there to support community efforts, always there with a smile and words of encouragement, always there with his special brand of quiet strength and fortitude and always there for his comrades and family. Thank you for coming into my life, Kam Fatt. Rest in peace, my friend.

It was exactly a week ago when I heard the shocking news of the untimely demise of Kam Fatt. It took me a while to process and digest the news. Everyone expected him to pull through as he was always the perennial optimist, fought against all odds and displayed the most super human energy at all times. He’s always on top of things and casting his gaze far and wide and making sure to include everyone in his quest to remake the city and the hometown aka Yuen How (Orchard). He taught me the concept of community service, service before self, invited me to join the local chapter of Rukun Tetangga, opened my eyes to the flaws and gaps we need to overcome in our midst, punctuality, generosity, gentlemanly conduct, the priceless value of a smile and a nod, speak less listen more, not to be too perturbed by what you can change, never give up, devotion to family, love for one’s children, plan ahead, sensitive to other’s plights, integrity, team work, embracing new thinking and be a leader who inspires. He’s a man with a golden heart and can do things that many can’t even fathom or see. The fruit of his labor will only manifest in years or decades to come. The seeds in which he so carefully planted in the community and his unyielding desire and focus in executing his plans was clear as day. He has touched many and his legacy will be enduring. The only thing left to do for such a pillar of strength is to mourn his passing but to keep his dreams, hopes and fire alive. Alone no one can even dream of coming close but it would be remiss if one doesn’t try. Farewell Kam Fatt, my friend, my brother and my mentor. Take a well deserved rest up there and continue to guide, shower is with blessing and protect us from above! #forever18

RIP Mr Kam!

I have only met him once last September from the BB cleanup event but it was the last. I didn't have much conversation with him during the event yet he showed his love to BB by his action.

May you rest in the wonderland now!

A most humble man dedicated in serving his community in Bukit Bintang that I cannot forget. I created a special video (https://bit.ly/3D1nP2k) found in my journal to tell a story of how I got to know him from Blue Boy Mansion to learn of his dedication and passion to serve his fellowmen! I know God will bless him greatly in the life after and his remaining family on earth too!

I've recently participated in efforts to make Bukit Bintang a better place with whatever skills and knowledge I have. That's when I got to know Mr Kam Fatt, a man who's always smiley and talking about his community.

I do not know him long enough, but I do know that he's respected by many. People like him who put their hearts into uplifting the community is hard to come by. This is a huge loss to everyone, and the whole of Bukit Bintang. Rest in peace.

It doesn't matter how long we live. It's more important how much we contribute to life. Kam Fatt was a person who solve problem using pragmatic approaches.

He started a spark for a better Bukit Bintang and can rest assured the fire will continues to burn.

That is the promise from all of us in BB Society.
