I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Tomjack. My heart is with all the Tomjacks and other loved ones.
Karen C. Tomjack, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2023, after a short but courageous battle with leukemia. Close members of her family were able to be with her and share their love and affection before she embarked on her final journey.
Born 77 years ago on October 10, 1945, in Jersey City, NJ, Karen was the daughter of Mario and Catherine (Mechler) Puccini. She grew up in Pequannock, NJ and graduated from Pequannock Township High School in 1963. Karen was a beacon of kindness, known for her warm smile, and unwavering love for her family.
Karen is survived by her three adoring sons, Thomas L. Tomjack, Jr., Scott E. Tomjack, and Michael P. Tomjack, who were the pride and joy of her life. She was a doting mother who provided endless love and support to her children throughout their lives. Karen's daughter-in-law, Ann M. Tomjack, became an integral part of the family, and Karen cherished the bond they shared. Her two precious grandchildren, Samantha M. Tomjack and Griffin M. Tomjack, brought immense happiness into her later years, and she relished every moment spent with them.
Karen is also survived by her loving brother, Robert Puccini, and sister-in-law, Patti Puccini, who were her confidants and companions through life's journey. In addition to her immediate family, Karen leaves behind a vast network of beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom she held dear to her heart. Her genuine affection and sense of family unity created bonds that transcended generations. Her circle of friends, too numerous to count, will remember her as a true friend who provided unwavering support and laughter in good times and bad.
Karen is predeceased by her devoted husband, Thomas L. Tomjack, Sr., who shared thirty-nine married years of love and cherished memories with her. We find comfort knowing they are together again after six years of her missing him.
Karen's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and family. She touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her and will bedeeply missed.
A funeral mass to celebrate Karen's life will be held on Saturday, September 16th, 11:30 AM at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, 318 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pequannock Township, NJ 07440. Following the Mass, at 1:00 PM, there will be a meal and gathering at Stefano’s Restaurant, 565 NJ-23, Pompton Plains, NJ 07440.
