For all the years we had, it was always quite wonderful going over for a visit. Every time I arrived alongside my father my grandmother's face light up the room waving us in to partake in our usual game of Monopoly and a serving of freshly bought pizza. I wish we could have had one more game, but at least I got to see you off one last time at the hospital for one last conversation together.

Bye Grandma, I'll miss you forever and always.
Your Grandson, Ian

I am a tenant and friend of Karen’s for almost 12 years now. She was one of the kindest and warmest ladies I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Over the years we got to know each other quite well and I always enjoyed our exchange of emails. She could come up with some funny and hilarious lines which always left me laughing at the end of our emails. She will live on in my heart alongside the memories of her fabulous sense of humor and her warmth, sincerity and genuinely wonderful personality. Forever in my heart❣️Yo

I didn't know Karen, but a daughter is a reflection of her mother, and the spirit of the mother must have been wonderful, smart, witty and warm which has all been passed down to Christine. Though never knowing you, I thank you for the gift you've given to the rest of the world.

You can only imagine how it is fairly impossible to encapsulate a person's  entire life into some kind of a Wonder-Web Site, however, the exercise has been therapeutic in a way for Russ and I .....
We mainly intended to provide a Celebration of  Karen's  (Mom's) Life to share with All that knew and loved her .

In our hearts we believe Mom has had quite the chuckle viewing her forever pages with all of the admiration & praise we've put into her site ! We are also thankful for this type of digital Memorial to be available to share with you.

Thank you for visiting - Thank you for sharing 'her best' with us. Today is Moms birthday and this is our gift .    Amen

Thanksgiving

November 17, 2023
Well, Daffy, it's almost that time of year. I've been thinking about you so much. I miss your no-nonsense, logical, don't let your emotions alter what is right and the strength to not let others take you off your own goals. To not let others smash you down or criticize, belittle or take so much time and energy away from you, that you never reach your own goals.

It's near Thanksgiving and thought I'd share a memory of Daffy, Russ and myself.

Laughing, drinking from that jug of Vino and acting silly, Daffy and Russ sat with me at the craft, workshop, sewing and dining room table. She gets up to check the turkey, thinking it was almost done. She opens the oven and gasp, then starts laughing. She forgot to put the Turkey in the oven!

Russ and I were laughing with her. We scrounged for what was in the fridge and laughed, acted silly and drank more Vino!

If possible Daffy...I would love to feel your presence sometime on Thanksgiving Day!
Love you!!

Business Partner & Friend

January 18, 2021

Daffy and I hit it off rather quick. She scooped me up in 1990 at Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts  and gave me the lead role opposite Daphne Von Braun, (Karen)

I played Dr. Clive Jamison in what came to be known as" Passions Mountain", "Passions Pointe" and finally "Peachtree Manor."

As the show grew, I became co-writer, co-producer. This was Daffy's baby. Her show, her work and her talent. When she extended a partnership to me, it felt incredible. She always had the last decision and rightfully so. I respected her final decision. I brought Clive to life in a show she created.

I wrote for Dr. Clive Jamison, Darren & Prudence. She took control of Daphne, Vanessa, Janet Greeneye, Lucky Lou and others.

Over the years not only did we remain business partners, she and I became dear friends.

A few years after we graduated we almost made it big with the show. We had a meeting with the president of CBS and all his executives in 1995. They watched the show with us and then turned to us and asked "Would you be willing to play your roles, Daphne and Dr. Clive and be executives writers, and executives in charge of story-line. We of course said "Yes"

Unfortunately, CBS was bought out and the deal fell through.

She was one of the only people who have always been by my side. I give respect and thankfulness to have known her as both, a business partner and friend.

Never too late Daffy!! They have holograms and somehow someway... Love you!!

Uh...Where's the Turkey?!!

January 18, 2021
She and had spent several holidays together over the years and Thanksgiving was one of them. As always, Karen had a wonderful spread, lots of snacks: crunchy, creamy, & cheesy!

Then the wine would be poured. Stories told, memories hashed, Idea's created, goals set, laughs, insults "Clive you Idiot!"

When the sides were warmed the timer went off for the turkey!! Yea!!..Turkey! We were still very hungry...Russ should remember this.

She's chatting away...slips into her oven mitts and goes to open the oven..."Oh Damn! I forgot to put the Turkey in the damn oven!" We all laughed. Improvised with the contents of the fridge and enjoyed the rest of the eve!!

No worries!! Daffy to rescue for being Daffy!

It just seems like the time should not have come yet, my dear friend. Where is time going?
