Karen M. Gadson was born on June 25, 1968 in Queens, New York to George and Shirley Williams.  She was raised with her three loving sisters Lois, Patricia and Shirley Ann Jr. 

As a child Karen attended P. S. 34 Elementary and P. S. 109 Jr. High and Norman Thomas High School.  Karen was never one to accept mediocrity and on to attend college at SUNY New Paltz and numerous other higher education institutions.

After college she joined the military at the age of 18 where she served as an 88M (Truck Driver), and 42A (Personnel Administrative Specialist).  After her third year of service something wonderful happened when she met the LOVE OF HER LIFE Christopher.  They were married on December 29, 1989 and remained faithful loving partners until she was called home to be with her Heavenly Father.

Although Karen had many accomplishments and accolades in her life, nothing brought her more joy than being a mother to her beautiful children Christopher II, and Kyante’.  She loved her family and always attended family functions, where she was always the life of the party.

Karen was a dedicated and devoted nurse.  She received her Masters Degree in Nursing, as well as her license as a Certified Nurse Practitioner.  She served as a nurse for twenty long years, and it was truly her gift and talent.  She served in various positions such as a Home Health Care Nurse, Charge Nurse, Traveling Nurse, and Physicians Assistant.  Karen also wroth Policies and Procedures for various hospital.

After relocating to Georgia, Chris and Karen joined St. Smyrna Baptist Church on Karen’s birthday June 25, 2006 where she remained a member until she was called home July 25, 2013.

She leaves many behind to cherish her; her loving husband Chris, son Chris II, daughter Kyante’; Mother Shirley, Father George; Sisters, Lois, Patricia and Shirley Jr.; two grandchildren, Zuri and Zion; One brother-in-law AmettGadson and (Tammy); Aunts, Eva, Clydette, Delores, Elaine; Uncles, Billy, Earl, Milton, Scotty and Hilton; Niece Destinee; Nephews, Marcus, Kenyan, Diondre’, Amett II and Walter N; Two Great Nephews; Along with a host of cousins, relatives, in-laws and special friends.
