As a very small square in the "family quilt", I want to share how special it was to be at so many of those family gatherings. I am blessed to have had my wife and children pulled into the fold with me, but then again, that is what Karen did. My memories will always be filled with Karen's laughter and the warmth that she spread to any celebration. Her legacy isn't what she did but what she gave to so many. Whenever I heard that another daughter was expecting, I always looked forward to Karen's new team name for her grandkids. I have honestly never met a person more invested in her entire family than Karen was, and that legacy is sure to live on through her Terrific Ten, her children, her nieces and nephews, and anyone who was fortunate enough to have seen her in action with her family. She was fierce, honest, and bold, and had a reverence for every part of her amazing journey through life. She will be missed greatly, and we are all better humans for having known her.
